“Congratulations to Senator Grove for being elected to lead our Senate Republican Caucus.

“I am confident she will do a tremendous job in this important, new role. Notably, Shannon is the first woman veteran elected to the California Legislature. She has distinguished herself as a leader for her constituents.

“Senator Grove is a capable successor to our outgoing leader – Senator Bates.

“Senator Bates has done an outstanding job as leader. I thank her for her hard work and dedication to the people of California. The people of the 36th Senate District are well served by her representation in the state capital.”
