Given the damage of Lake Oroville Dam’s spillway, Senator Jim Nielsen (R-Tehama) today joined Assemblyman James Gallagher (R-Yuba City), Yuba City Fire Chief Pete Daley and local officials from Yuba and Sutter Counties to ask residents to be prepared.
Senator Nielsen reassured citizens that their elected officials are advocating for transparency of information and coordination between the Department of Water Resources and local officials.
“Please do not get complacent. Be prepared, for yourself and your property. Sign up for emergency alerts so you can stay informed,” said Senator Jim Nielsen (R-Tehama).
Citizens are advised to sign up to receive emergency notices.
