Senator Jim Nielsen, R-Red Bluff, issued the following statement after Senate Democrats today waived the “72-hours in print” rule that California voters passed in 2016 with Prop. 54:

“State Legislative Democrats have corrupted the budget process. Once again they have waived transparency rules, this time for as many as 31 bills, to facilitate dead-of-night deals over the weekend that minimize public knowledge.”
