Assemblyman Jim Nielsen (R-Gerber) made the following comments in regards to a Fresno Superior Court ruling that declares the law (Assembly Bill 962) to limit and regulate the sale of gun ammunition in California is unconstitutional.

"I am very pleased that our judicial system has made this very important finding and blocked the enforcement of this ridiculous law.  Those of us who opposed AB 962 in the legislature knew that it was an infringement on the 2nd Amendment rights of all Californians.  It is satisfying that the courts have ruled in our favor.  As we move forward, it is my hope that legislators spend less time proposing unconstitutional restrictions on people's lives, and more time finding solutions to our ongoing budget crisis."
