Assemblyman Jim Nielsen Named Legislator Of The Year By The CA Rifle & Pistol Association

Friday, October 12, 2012

(Sacramento) - Assemblyman Jim Nielsen (R-Gerber) announced that the California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA) has named him Legislator of the Year in recognition of his strong legislative record supporting the 2nd Amendment.

"I am honored to be named Legislator of the Year by the CRPA," said Nielsen. "I have and will always side with honest, law-abiding citizens and their Constitutional right to own and use firearms.  The rights of California gun owners are constantly under attack in the Legislature and I will continue to stand against any attempts to diminish these rights."

Founded back in 1875, the California Rifle and Pistol Association is an organization of sportsmen dedicated to the preservation of the American heritage. In this age of constant political attacks on the rights of law-abiding citizens to own and use firearms for legitimate purposes, the CRPA is the state organization dedicated to protecting firearm freedoms and promoting shooting sports solely in the State of California.

"The California Rifle and Pistol Association is proud to name Assembly Member Jim Nielsen as our 2013 Legislator of the Year," said John Fields, Executive Director. "He is an unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment and the rights of all law-abiding Americans to own and use firearms. Assembly Member Nielsen has been incredibly effective in representing California's firearms owners and hunters at the state capitol. We're confident he will continue to fight for us in the California Legislature."
